I've been using ManageWP and the only area where I've found it lacking is in backup of large sites. I have another solution for that (BackupBuddy), but I was able to ditch the uptime monitoring solution I was using and saved enough to pay for ManageWP.

The ManageWP support people have been very responsive and are working on the large site backup issue.

Very good point. I was only trying to inform people that the DNS servers of any ISP can fail, with no failover protection to ensure DNS connectivity. OpenDNS and Google Public DNS has the redundancy required by major corporations, so I would trust them not to fail as often or as hard.

Or, before you go changing your dns servers, you can try the following on windows machines:

Start->Run
cmd
ipconfig \flushdns
exit

That should flush the dns cache, allowing new queries to be built on the fly. If it still doesn't work, you might have a malware proxy running. Then try the command "netsh winhttp reset proxy". If neither of those work, THEN try changing your dns settings.

Thanks for the info. I noticed the bug myself, and didn't know what to do about it. Anyway, thanks for sending me the link so I can look into how it does what my plugin should do.

Hi there,

I was wondering if the plugin could be altered to only update facebook on the initial publishing of posts rather than (as it works now) on the initial publishing AND updating of posts. Or at least make it a selectable option.
Just Tweet That Shit (http://www.marcelpauly.de/just-tweet-that-shit/) does just this.

Thanks for your time,
Have a good one,

Martin
